Quite simply and profoundly we are thanking Spirit for the creation of Light - not only in the physical, but in the metaphysical sense as well. In chanting this Prayer we praise both the visual light we already know, and the New Light yet undiscovered by so many; the Spiritual Light that we all have shining within. Once recognized and unified with the Divine Light that surrounds us, both “Lights” will lead to the Universal awareness of our Oneness, and to openly share the in Awesome Presence of All that Is ... in Peace, Love and Harmony.


Sahasrara, although not actually a chakra, is often referred to as the seventh chakra because, in essence, it is the climax, the effusion of the cosmic flow of all energies which have ascended through each of the other chakras and bringing with it all awareness, wisdom and Love that has been acquired along this Journey. It is here, at the crown of our head, that we feel union of our personal, individual “self” with All that Is, with the Universal Infinity of the collective consciousness and Lovingkindness. This is the meeting place for our physical, emotional and our highest eternal sacred Self: the Truth and Love of our Oneness, and is beautifully symbolized by a 1,000 petal lotus flower in full blossom.
